
Kirstin sleeps for good 8 hours at night before waking up (and takes 3 naps a day for a total of 14 to 17 hours of sleep)
THE 4th MONTH

Physical
- She's able to sit with support
- Lifts head up 90 degrees when lying on stomach
- Pays attention to small objects held in front of her face
- Grasp a rattle or toy
- Bear weight on both legs when we try to stand her up on our laps
Mental
- Pays attention to small object held in front of her face
- Responds to all colors and shapes
- Explores object with her mouth
- Reach out for objects
- Responds to music and likes Mozart!
Language
- She babbles and amuses self with new noises.
Social
- Turns her face in our direction when she hears us talk
THE 5th MONTH
- Rolls over from tummy to back
- Hold head level to body when pulled to sit
- Plays with her hand and feet
Mental
- She seemed to recognize her own name
- Distinguishes between bold colors
Language
- Repeat sounds like ma-ma-ma or da-da-da
Social
- She gets upset if you take a toy from her
- Makes funny faces
THE 6th MONTH
- Roll back in forth in both directions
- Sits momentarily without support
- Feed herself with crackers
- Holds her bottle
Mental
- Imitates sound and facial expressions
- Works at getting a toy that's out of reach
- She picks up small objects with her fingers
Language
- She begins to jabber and babble
Social
- She begins to have stranger and separation anxiety
